Pimcore is named a Visionary in the 2026 Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for PIM. What that means for product data, AI agents and Youwe’s Pimcore clients.
Pimcore has been named a Visionary in the 2026 Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Product Information Management Solutions. Gartner published the research on 12 October 2026. The analysts are Jason Daigler, Greg Carlucci and Nicholas Mortensen. As a long-time Pimcore partner, we believe this is useful context for teams that treat product data as infrastructure for channels and for AI, not only as a catalogue problem.
Gartner’s public abstract summarises the market like this:
Gartner sees heavy client interest and investment in product information management (PIM) solutions, driven by emerging digital channels, internal and external demand for structured and enhanced product data to serve AI agents, and the growth of agentic commerce. Featured vendors exhibit high year-over-year revenue and customer growth.

Gartner Magic Quadrant™ research methodology and visual tools provide a graphical competitive positioning of technology and service providers in a specific market. They evaluate vendors based on two key criteria: Ability to Execute and Completeness of Vision.
A Visionary placement is Gartner’s view of Pimcore in this PIM market. It is not a contest result. It is not advice to buy only from one quadrant. Fit to your assortment, integrations and operating model still decides.
Gartner’s full research covers each vendor in detail. Gartner clients can read it there.
Digital channels keep multiplying the places where a product record must be correct. AI agents raise the bar again: they need structured, classified attributes under governance, or they will invent gaps a merchandiser never approved. Agentic commerce only works when the underlying product record is trustworthy.
In B2B that pressure is familiar. Assortments are deep. Supplier feeds vary. The same SKU must feed ERP, PIM, search, portals and commerce in one governed flow. When the data foundation is weak, every new channel and every AI use case repeats the same cleanup.
We believe Pimcore’s open, composable approach (PIM with MDM and DAM in one platform family) suits data-heavy B2B catalogues where rigid off-the-shelf models break. A Pimcore product-data layer can also sit next to the storefront you already run.
For organisations already on Pimcore with us, this recognition sits beside delivery that is already live: data models, steward workflows, integrations, hosting and, where it fits, AI enrichment under control. Our day-to-day work is still the same: make the product record reliable enough for every channel that depends on it.
For teams evaluating PIM, it is one input when you build a shortlist. Your own domains decide. The decision is really a data-model and governance decision. Chart position is only one input.
Bejo Zaden. A modern Pimcore PIM and MDM for vegetable seed master data: varieties, assortments and labelling, with steward workflows, integrations, Youwe hosting and continuous improvement. Case.
Tata Steel Europe. Pimcore Enterprise on Youwe-managed hosting for brand and product information, with a brand portal, multi-environment hosting, SSO enablement and ongoing support. Case.
CDVI. Scope and requirements workshops and a Pimcore optimisation programme so an underused open-source setup becomes a governed home for access-control product information. Case.
Chadwicks Group (AI on top of PIM). Product data enrichment on Pimcore Enterprise, with production enrichment on ACI Weave as a governed workflow back into PIM: AI as a step on top of a governed foundation. Case.
