Integration of different applications and systems
Unipart Autoparts is a global distributor of car-, van- and trailer parts and specializes in production, logistics, and consultancy. Unipart Autoparts is part of the Unipart Group. With over 10.000 employees and revenue of over 1 billion pounds, it’s one of the biggest privately owned companies in their sector.
Thanks to the many possibilities of the Magento platform, Unipart has created an online platform with a range of bespoke functionalities: Car owners can book appointments simply by entering their license plate number and postal code and can then select a garage nearby their desired location. The garage is offered the business. This allows Unipart to directly cater to B2C customers and at the same time drive business towards their local service partners (garages). Garages can access all product data, appointments and invoices by just one click. Unipart and Youwe are continuing to innovate, which is why in 2018, as the cherry on the pie, an app has been launched that allows car owners to manage their car or fleet maintenance, connecting directly to their garage.
Less phone calls
Increase in online orders
Youwe created a new Magento platform, that opens up an entirely new world for garages: new business, a gigantic database and unlimited knowledge available with just one click. All this is made possible thanks to the smart integration of ERP-system SAP and e-commerce platform Magento. To be able to keep up with the mobile world, the website is fully responsive. This way Unipart Autoparts can optimally service their B2C clients and their partnering garages now and in the future.
In 2018, Unipart added a mobile app integrated into their Magento platform, which enables efficient car maintenance for customers, entire families or even business fleets. The unique feature here is the smart integration of the product and customer data in the ERP with the Magento platform, makes the data available for very customer friendly search filters and order mechanisms.

The new solution has on the one hand substantially improved the searching and shopping experience for both business and private customers, and on the other hand has created an opportunity to drive business towards the local garages that partner with Unipart to install the purchased parts. This forms a unique bridge between the traditional way of doing business in the automotive industry and the need for suppliers to transform digitally.
Personalized and streamlined interactions are offered on the one hand by sophisticated search filters, significantly reducing searching time and guaranteeing that the ordered parts are the adequate ones: Simply entering the license plate of a car will not only reveal the exact car type, but also all auto parts from Unipart's assortment that fit this type are offered to the garage. Therefore, substantial amounts of product data are mapped and integrated into the search functionality.
